Home > Introducing Ma'an Lil-Hayat and Palestine's first felt products > Sunbula is happy to welcome into our partnership, Ma‘an Lil-Hayat, a newly formed group that produces wool felt products. Ma‘an Lil-Hayat means ‘together for life‘ in Arabic, and supports people with intellectual disabilities in the Bethlehem area refugee camps and villages. It operates daily social activities and an income-generation project by bringing together people with and without disabilities. Ma‘an Lil-Hayat purchases sheep wool from local shepherds in Bethlehem, and makes it into adorable felt products by undertaking the entire process of cleaning, carding, coloring, felting, and drying.  Their Christmas ornaments were a huge hit during the 2009 holiday season and the first to get sold out at the Sunbula Holiday Bazaar. Ma‘an‘s products are on sale at Sunbula Craft Shop in Jerusalem, and will soon become available at our online shop. Stay tuned!
